A $100 ticket. Sponsor money works the same way.
Questions
Do guests pay anything extra?
No. Guests pay the ticket price you set. Spot's 20% comes out of it and already covers card fees.
When do I get my money?
It goes to your own Stripe account the moment a guest pays, and Stripe sends it to your bank on its normal schedule, usually within a few days. If you split money with co-hosts, sponsors or speakers, it pays out after the event.
What about refunds?
If you cancel the event or decline a paid guest, Spot refunds them in full automatically, and Spot's share is refunded too. Any other refund is your call.
How does sponsor money work?
A sponsor pays through Spot, like a ticket. You get 80%, Spot keeps 20%.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Creating events and drafts is free. You only need Pro to publish one so people can sign up.
Can I earn with Spot?
Bring a host, sponsor or speaker with your link and you get half of what Spot makes from them for 12 months.
